Expertise across property disputes

Our members are experienced in advising and representing clients across a broad range of property disputes, acting for individuals, businesses, trustees and property owners in both commercial and residential matters.

Our practice includes co-ownership and cohabitees’ property disputes, with particular expertise in claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA), including disputes concerning beneficial interests, occupation, sale of property and the division of proceeds.

Members regularly act in wider real property litigation, including boundary disputes, rights of way, easements and other issues affecting the use, ownership and enjoyment of land. We provide strategic advice from an early stage through to trial, with a focus on achieving practical and commercially effective outcomes.

Our barristers appear regularly across the London courts, including the High Court and Court of Appeal, and are experienced in handling complex and high-value disputes.

Trusted by Those We Represent

‘’The cohesive clerking team in Chambers have a combined depth of experience which is second to none’’

‘’The barristers are friendly, thorough and personable and are always willing to help. The clerks and admin staff are excellent and always go over and beyond to assist’’

‘’Pupillage at 3DJB was comprehensive, educational, and supportive. I had the opportunity to shadow experts in Family Law throughout my first-six and received robust training in preparation for my second six. I was given detailed feedback in relation to the written tasks that were assigned to me as well as any advocacy I had undertaken within Chambers.’’

‘’Pupillage with 3DJB has been a wonderful experience from start to finish, largely owing to the supportive 'open door' policy of chambers. No two days are the same. For instance, during first six, I observed cases with junior members who dealt with straightforward cases before Magistrates through to complex international matters with more senior colleagues at the Supreme Court. In second six, I have been in court quite a lot and am pleased to be doing such a broad range of work and exceeding my guaranteed earnings along the way! If anyone is thinking about applying to 3DJB then my advice is to do so without hesitation.’’
